What is Systemic Therapy?
In addition to psychoanalysis and behavioral therapy, the systemic approach is the most widely used and practiced therapy and counseling approach. Systemic therapy is an independent psychotherapeutic procedure and represents the generic term for a variety of approaches and models that have evolved from couple and family therapy.
The goal of systemic family therapy is to work together with the clients in exploring and creating new solutions to their problems.
The following aspects characterize the therapeutic process:
- Contextual understanding of individual and interpersonal symptoms, disorders and problems
- The insight that problems are basically "produced" and maintained in communicative processes
- Therapy and counseling cannot bring about targeted behavioral changes from the outside, but only represent an incentive for the self-transformation
- Questions about resources and about the possibility of using them in finding solutions are being explored
- Everyone involved in such a cooperation network is met with an appreciative attitude
The main point of the systemic individual therapy is to understand the clients and especially their “problem behaviour” (the symptoms shown) in the context of their relationships and environment.
Problems or symptoms must therefore be seen as an expression of communication and interaction with “relevant milieu” and contain, besides painful described parts, also attempted solutions for very specific goals. In my work as a systemic therapist I see myself as a trustful listener of your concerns and as companion that stays helpful and appreciative by your side on your way to discover your personal goals and to achieve them. During the psychotherapeutic process resources, skills and competencies are rediscovered, as well as new approaches and solutions are found together.

FAMILY AND COUPLE THERAPY
In the systemic family and couple therapy problems are not seen as characteristics of individuals.
They are an expression of the current communication and relationship conditions in a system. Family therapy is a form of therapy that sees health and disease and the overall quality of life in connection with people’s relevant relationships and concepts of life.
My goal as a systemic psychotherapist is to enhance the perception and the opportunities for action of the individual and of the whole family system.
I work resources-oriented and I try to challenge the traditional patterns and preconceptions and to encourage other points of view to allow new interpretation possibilities and rules of interaction.
I strongly believe it is important to establish a respectful dialogue with a couple or a family and to support them dissolve blockages that might appear during the development dynamics, to discover new perspectives and more satisfying patterns of coexistence.
Family and couple therapy should support you in:

Coaching is a form of individual counseling process in a professional environment with a view to the level of the organization, the role and function of the person and their individual personality.
The aim is to reflect and to align the individual personal skills with the requirements of the organisation.
